In the context of the purpose-built conference centre, the case study focused on two areas in particular. Firstly it identified key success factors for facilities in delivering events, to include the support that key stakeholders can provide when hosting major international events. Secondly focused on the development of international consultancy projects as part of a strategic growth plan. Using the management of the Dublin Convention Centre (DCC) as a specific example, it subsequently identified the necessary cultural considerations and the intellectual capital required to undertake such consultancy in international markets.
