Biography

Professor Elizabeth Rosser is Deputy Dean, Education and Professional Practice in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences and Professor of Nursing. As a Registered Nurse with a midwifery qualification, Elizabeth has a particular research interest in the health and social care workforce. She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Since 2011, she became an elected member of the Bournemouth University Board and from November 2015 she has become an elected member of the Board of Directors of the prestigious global nursing society of Sigma Theta Tau International based in Indianapolis, USA, having stood as the first President of the all-England Chapter of the society. Elizabeth has a particular interest in culturally relevant care having worked for 6 years as nurse/midwife in Colombia, South America. More recently she has been involved in a number of workforce research projects both within the UK and in Brazil. Research

This project supports the evaluation of an action learning set with 5 consultant nurses and 1 therapy consultant to support their clinical leadership.

Elizabeth's research interests lie in relation to health and social care workforce, service evaluation, health and social care professional education.
