Abstract:

The relationship between length and weight are described for three native fish species (Capoeta damascina, Garra rufa, and Nemacheilus insignis) of the Mujib Basin, Jordan. The fish communities were sampled using electric fishing and gill netting in 2011, enabling the collection of fish samples that were not biased regarding length or weight. The data represent the first description of length-weight data for N. insignis, although the data set is limited by a narrow size-range. © 2013 Blackwell Verlag GmbH.
