Abstract:

The article presents the findings of a research on the links between practice learning and the recruitment and retention of staff in the social care sector in Great Britain conducted by Practice Learning Taskforce. According to the research, quality practice learning experiences play an important role in attracting and retaining recruits. Incentives that were offered to attract new recruits include cash bonuses and educational opportunities. Practice learning staff such as teachers are also affected by recruitment and retention issues.
