Biography

Jason's research interests are in the areas of Customer Experience and Value, Mobile Technology, and Fashion Marketing. An international academic, Jason has worked at various higher education institutions in Australia and United Kingdom. Beyond the academia, Jason has worked as an intern with the Digital Team of Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE), responsible for analysing and reporting sales data, and as a full-time marketing intern at the Capalaba Central Shopping Centre (Brisbane, Australia), responsible for organising promotional events, analysing monthly sales revenues.

Jason's pedagogic approaches focus on technology-enabled learning and teaching, which have achieved a Curriculum Innovation award and Teaching and Learning Excellence award at the University of Surrey. Nominated by the students, Jason was also one of the four finalists of the Academic of the Year at Surrey in 2012.

In terms of publication award, Jason received an Outstanding Paper Award from the International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management for his paper titled "Entertainment-seeking shopping centre patrons: the missing segments".
