Melanie Gray is an academic in the field of Marketing.
Her key areas of interest are around Branding, Strategic Marketing and Integrated Marketing Communications and she specialises in researching, teaching and contributing to professional practice in these arenas. She has a particular interest in Marketing within the Media industry.
With a strong professional background in Marketing, Melanie leads a number of consultancy projects at a regional and national level and contributes to thought leadership in the field of Marketing through her affiliations to the Chartered Institute of Marketing, European Media Management association and Branded Content association. Melanie is focusing her research on the evolving practice of brand management and the impact this has on the rapidly changing Media Industry, and in addition Melanie is looking at the teaching of Marketing within the Higher education sector. Both these areas of research link to her teaching practice, with Melanie leading undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Branding, Strategic Marketing and Marketing communications... Melanie is currently Head of Education within her faculty and has been programme leader on the BSc Marketing degree.
Melanie was awarded the Bournemouth University vice chancellor award in 2015 for her outstanding contribution to the University.more
