I am Director of the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management (CIPPM). My stock in trade is the empirical analysis of intellectual property law. I am also interested in the genealogy of the norms governing an information society ( Publications, projects and events are available from the CIPPM website (

From 1 November 2012 I will be taking up the position of Professor of Intellectual Property Law/Director of CREATe (AHRC national copyright centre) at the University of Glasgow.
