Abstract:I am currently working on a freelance project which has been commissioned by Health Education England, to write the content for an App related to childhood obesity. The purpose of this workforce development project is to develop the content for an App which will increase the knowledge and skills of health professionals for use when supporting parents/carers of children who are obese or overweight. With this App, healthcare professionals will learn how to support these families to make positive and individualised changes to their lifestyle in order to improve their health and wellbeing. The project will also contribute to the public health national childhood obesity agenda through the training and education of the healthcare workforce.
