Biography

Amanda has been BASES Accredited since 2005 and a HCPC Registered Sport and Exercise Psychologist since 2012. Over this time, Amanda has supported a range of athletes, coaches and parents in sports from hockey and rugby to fencing and athletics from county to international level including supporting athletes at their relevant World Championships. She currently supports amongst others, the Southampton FC Ladies first team, the Royal Signals Rugby team and England Athletics coaches integrate sport psychology into their high performance programs.

She is currently a senior lecture in sport and psychology and placement lead for the Undergraduate BSc. (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree. She is a visiting lecturer at the Azerbaijan Sport and Physical Education University.

In 2016 Amanda completed her PhD titled, the diffusion and adoption of sport psychology by track and field coaches. Since then she has continued this line of research with a PhD student at AFC Bournemouth.
