Biography

I completed my BSc Psychology Degree at Bournemouth University in 2019 and have reminded at Bournemouth University as a PhD student, working under the supervision of Dr Peter Hills.

In February 2020, I joined Bournemouth University as a Demonstrator, where, I teach Psychology seminars, provide technical support for Qualtrics and oversee the reporting of Engagement and Outreach Activities in the Department.

Research

My PhD is interested in understanding the factors important for an effective campaign to reduce sexual violence. To achieve this, I will explore the impact emotion, memory and attention have on changing attitudes and behaviour by using eye-tracking, EEG and facial expression tests. I will also examine current attitudes and behaviours plus social norms and sexual scripts surrounding consent and sexual violence on a dating app and in person.

I am also working on various research projects which involve understanding the role of personality on attitude and behaviour change, evaluating University sexual harassment and reporting policies across the UK and analysing the public's perception towards consent, sexual assault, rape and rape myths.
