- Describes the forthcoming publication of an archaeological project date to 1970 and its expansion into a new field project involving a community archaeology group.
- Dewlish Roman Villa was the first major archaeological project of Bournemouth University. The field research took place from 1969 to 1979 under the leadership of Bill Putnam. Since 2010 there has been a concerted effort to bring the findings of this work into the public domain and it is expected that a full report will be available by 2018 when 'archaeology' at Bournemouth University will be 50 years old. Updates on the progress of the publication will be available on this website.

Public Engagement & Outreach Activities
- The Church St Andrew, Portland, Dorset, is now redundant and abandoned. It was the site of excavations by the predecessor HEI of Bournemouth University in 1980 and 1981. Porstland Museum is close to the site of the church and has within its collections a large body of architectural stone fragments from St Andrew. Bournemouth Universirty has the assemblage of human bones from the site. Portland Museum is a community museum with a strong local volunteer support group. The object of this project is to engage with both the Museum and its support group in order to extend and enhance the visitor experience to Portland Museum and its collections. Currently a BU MSc Osteology student is working on the project along side the academic input.
