I’m Senior Lecturer at Bournemouth University, Faculty of Management in the department of Leadership, Strategy & Organisations. My current research interests focus on employer provided training and employee involvement. I’m particular interested in the question why firms invest in transferable skills of their employees and how firms are able to keep their trained employees. My second interest is in the field of employee involvement and particularly the dynamics of employee initiated involvement bodies such as works councils.

I got my doctorate from the University of Zurich. I have won several research grants including funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation and have counselled several organisations such as the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in Germany.
