Abstract:

We accept that [in] a society that is both multi-faith and largely secular, there is never going to be consensus on… the role of the state in reproductive decision-making. There are no demonstrably ‘right’ answers to the complex ethical, moral and political equations involved… We recognise the difficulty of achieving consensus between protagonists in opposing camps.
