Abstract:

The application of a method to calculate and monitor the load on a simplified model of an aircraft wing was discussed. The potential for using such an approach as a real time tool for continuous monitoring of structural loads was shown. As such, the possibility of developing a hybrid analysis and monitoring system capable of accurately analyzing complex components in real time was highlighted. This paper shows that, this approach works and can be used to accurately predict loads on a simplified wing.
