Grading criteria for professional practice assessment: a generic framework

Abstract:

A group of experienced academics has explored application of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC, 2009) standards for pre-registration midwifery education across the United Kingdom, particularly focusing on grading of practice. This presentation discusses the third and final phase of the project, comprising development of generic grading criteria, following an initial scoping exercise (Fisher et al., 2017a) and identification of 11 core principles (Fisher et al. 2017b).
