Sexual misconduct amongst police employees

Abstract:This presentation will outline research which has been conducted in conjunction with Bournemouth University looking at data collected from 15 forces regarding sexual misconduct of police employees. It considered what data is being collected, and looked at the similarities between cases – for example many employees are repeatedly brought to attention before formal allegations are brought. It will also highlight current research which is now focussing on how we can use information from past cases to assess the risk of individuals becoming future perpetrators of such behaviour.
