Based in the Media School at Bournemouth University, the focus of my PhD research is the representation of career women in the media and the impact of this on young people's aspirations. Academic interests include media, film, journalism, cultural studies, gender, identity and womens studies. My MA in Womens Studies was awarded by the University of West Sussex and BA Hons in Combined Studies (Journalism) by Leeds University I am teaching part-time on BA (Hons) Public Relations. I have previously taught Film and Media Studies, and Sociology.
