Abstract:

Describes the remains of a prehistoric and medieval landscape represented by gates, droveroads, lynchets, settlement enclosures, hut circles, cairns, and a stone circle. Cultivation ridges are present in some areas the field layout is discussed in terms of possible farming systems. Pollen and soil analysis indicated clearance of oak woodland followed by podsolization before cairn construction. -from British Archaeological Abstracts
