Abstract:The chapter discusses an intercultural and interdisciplinary research project exploring current and potential media learning in primary school classrooms operating within diverse contexts. Drawing upon examples and quotes from the participating teachers and learners who were observed and interviewed, the chapter brings the complexity of primary education together with the children’s multidimensional media involvement. The contribution ultimately argues that nurturing the whole person theoretically is, in pedagogic practice should be, the common ground where primary and media educations blend into one.
