Abstract:

In this paper, we propose a new security protocol enhancement for LEMP, which is a novel application-layer protocol, specifically designed for data streaming applications with large client sets, offering distributed multicasting with minimal overhead, while being robust to client and network failures or losses, typical for wireless environments. This security enhancement is based upon a Kerberos variation, being efficient both in terms of computational load for the diverse nature of participating clients as well as in terms of communication overhead. © 2005 University of the Aegean and University of Plymouth.
