Abstract:This session introduced and explored the concept of care and welfare and their place in sport. At a time when care is receiving a significant amount of attention liked to it importance in enabling people to thrive, it is important to consider its meaning more deeply. We re-cap on some of the priority recommendations made within the Dudy of Care in sport review (2017) and focus on the importance of self-care in dynamic and competitive spaces.
