Abstract:

We used a 2-D depth-integrated hydrodynamic model of Poole Harbour and benthic invertebrate data collected from 80 sites within the intertidal mudflats to determine how flow impacts communities. The implications of sea level rise for changing flow conditions and the impact on waders feeding on intertidal mudflats are discussed.
