Biography

Pronouns she/they

I work in the Social Work Team at BU and teach on several units including Learning from the Living Experience, Social Justice and Professional Practice with Adults.

I have been a qualified social worker since 2011, graduating from Bournemouth University. I worked for around 10 years in statutory drug and alcohol social work and latterly within the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team (DoLS), prior to coming to BU.

I currently work part time at BU and also work part time as an Independent Social Worker. I work completing Best Interests Assessments for people who have been deprived of their liberty and I am also an independent Practice Educator supporting social work students out on placement.

I am also a trained Therapeutic Counsellor and a Forest Bathing Practitioner.
