Abstract:

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To assess the effects of psychological interventions designed to improve adherence to disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) in adults with multiple sclerosis (MS) in terms of adherence. This will be considered in relation to levels of adherence in a comparison group. Secondary objectives are to assess the impact of interventions on potential predictors of adherence such as motivation, self-efficacy beliefs and healthcare engagement to DMTs adherence.
