Abstract:

Students report experiencing a theory-practice gap in relation to infant feeding education and care between university and clinical placement leaving them feeling inadequately prepared.1 In this article a pilot study of a student-led infant feeding clinic is reported, exploring the impact on learning and the student experiences. The clinic was a beneficial learning environment with students’ knowledge scores improving. Future research could explore the ongoing benefits of this clinic for other students’ development.
