I am an early career researcher in digital media and communication. For most of my career I was a secondary school teacher, before returning to post-graduate study in 2019 with funding from the Economic & Social Research Council. In 2024, I graduated with a PhD in education and film.

I have worked as a practice-based researcher on a number of community media projects, with a focus on enabling people from minoritised communities to use film and digital storytelling to speak back to dominant media narratives.
