Biography

Nick Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing at Bournemouth University. He qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) in 2009 and an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) in 2023. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, community and liaison psychiatry. Nick has a particular interest in Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) and currently also works as an ACP in a community based EIP team.

Prior to qualifying as an RMN Nick had a research career. He was awarded a PhD from the Psychology Department at University College University College London in 2002 before working as postdoctoral researcher in psychopharmacology at the Institute of Psychiatry, London. This led to the publication of six first author papers in peer reviewed journals.

Seeking to combine his clinical and academic roles into current research activities, Nick is currently working on number of projects.
