Biography

Oghenekevwe Orighoyegha (FHEA, FICMC, MCIArb) is a PhD candidate in International Maritime Law and a (hourly paid) Law Lecturer at Bournemouth University. She is also a qualified Barrister and Solicitor with over 15 years of experience in corporate and criminal law, legal drafting, property law, advocacy, and dispute resolution. As a Judicial Officer in the Delta State Judiciary, Nigeria, she has resolved over 600 cases using mediation and ADR.

Her corporate experience includes roles at SPDC (one-year compulsory NYSC) and Coastal Specialist Hospital, where she served as Head of Legal and Company Secretary. With two LL.M degrees and active research into maritime security challenges, Kevwe combines academic depth with practical insight into global legal systems. She is a fellow of the HEA, a fellow of ICMC, and a member of the CIArb (UK).
