Abstract:with this paper I want to give an overview about the influence the invention of the KINAMO, the first effective hand-held spring-driven 35mm Camera in 1921 for the development of documentary film how we do know it today, as well as avant-garde documentary film - with the examples of 3 leading figures, Joris Ivens, Martin Rikli, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy.
