Abstract:

A Data Warehouse is a subject-oriented, integrated, time-variant and non-volatile collection of data that supports managerial decision-making. In every large modern enterprise, data is stored in different databases and systems. It is only by bringing information from these systems together (Data Warehousing) that the full value of the data when reported (Business Intelligence), can be realised. Data Warehousing is an essential element of decision support, ehich has increasingly become the focus of the database industry.
