Biography

Bernice Law joined the Department of Nursing Science at Bournemouth University as a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing in December 2023. Her clinical experience ranged from Emergency Department, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Otorhinolaryngology in Hong Kong to Aged Care and Oncology in Melbourne and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Bournemouth University, Bernice served as the Senior Clinical Practice Educator at the NHS University Hospital Southampton in supporting novice nurses, new starters and internationally educated nurses, and using education to improve patient care quality. Her teaching experience spans continents, having been a Senior Lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong before her relocation to the UK. She has experience in both postgraduate and undergraduate teaching and research supervision of nursing and gerontology students. She was recognized as a Fellow in Higher Education by the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing, an Advanced Practice Nurse by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong, and a Distinguished Educator in Gerontology Nursing by the National Hartford Centre of Gerontological Nursing Excellence in the United States of America...
