Biography

Roberta Discetti is Senior Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour and Business Ethics at the Business School, Bournemouth University. She holds a BA in philosophy (University of Naples), a MA in philosophy (University of Siena) and an MSc in Business and Society communication (University of Bologna). She has completed a PhD in Business ethics at the University of Portsmouth, with a study on Fairtrade certification and consumer activism in Fairtrade Towns.

Her research revolves around ethical consumption, market-based activism, and social movements campaigning for sustainable and equitable food systems. She has worked in the context of different EU-funded projects on sustainable food systems, such as Strength2Food and FoodMapp. She is also co-founder and co-lead of the Research Seminar Cycle 'Socio-Ecological Transition Seminars'.

Being very keen on academia-NGOs collaboration, she has worked with several NGOs in the UK and abroad, including the Fairtrade Foundation in London and the Fair Trade Advocacy Office in Brussels...
