Abstract:

The results of resurfacing depend on three factors: Patient selection Surgical technique Implant selection This is a more technically demanding procedure than total hip replacement. A surgeon should complete 200 hip replacements before attempting resurfacing. The learning curve is between 20 and 50 cases.
