Abstract:

In view of the wide scope of research on the MICE sector, it is easy to assume that information on the industry is readily available, and that there is little need for further research. However, this is not the case. Exploration into the existing material reveals a number of research issues and challenges. These can be broadly classified under the following themes: definitions and terminology, fragmentation of the industry, industry statistics, and primary research.
