Abstract:

Upon completing the case, participants will be able to: identify the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation for the events industry; evaluate the current capabilities and entrepreneurial mindset of events organisations and their employees; explain how events organisations can innovate through both ‘adding value’ and ‘doing things differently’ within the events industry; assess the role of digitalisation and the broader importance of technology for the events industry; and identify a range of key event communities and event ecosystems that can support innovation and facilitate entrepreneurial practices within the industry.
