Abstract:

Building vibrant communities of practice in higher education is not without its challenges. It involves hard work and dedication, especially in the initial stages. Assembling a core team to manage and guide the CoP is essential. Tasks such as room booking, scheduling, and sometimes even the delightful task of providing refreshments, like cakes, all must be coordinated alongside your already busy day jobs. The journey may require effort, but the rewards that come with successful CoPs make it all worthwhile. The sense of fulfilment, the innovation that emerges, and the sense of community that is nurtured can have a lasting and profound impact on your institution.
