Digital Storytelling in the Community

Abstract:

A report on a community writing project undertaken in Bournemouth in May 2016. Five unemployed young people were introduce to digital equipment, and software, and were guided through a one-week process of script-writing, video filming, music making, photography, and interactive storytelling possibilities. The bespoke software platform, Genarrator, was used to build and publish the completed narrative which was called 'Friendzone'.
