Abstract:

The development of physics-based animation techniques and certain issues related to it are discussed. Physical realism is achieved by implementing the discovered mathematical theorems and physical laws as accurately as possible. Physical-based techniques offer the animator two important advantages - saving the time and helping the animator to extend what animation can be done. The improved computer hardware performance, especially speed and memory, is slowly changing the nature of the research activities for computer animation.
