Abstract:

Comics are about more than translating science into art. Web-comics of public health messages help translate complex data into accessible and relatable information. They convey personal experiences of living under the pandemic and working to build resilience. By creating an open access, coded dataset of COVID-19 web-comics related to public health, we have been able to deliver a timely and unique resource to public health communicators, educators, NHS frontline workers that deal with patient care, librarians, archivists and other researchers.
