Abstract:

The attached dataset contains near-infrared (NIR) spectral data from 51 antibiotics, active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients. NIR spectra were acquired using the JDSU microNIR pro. Two Microsoft Excel files are attached: one that has details of the measured samples and the second their spectra. Spectral data was collected over a scan range of 900-1700 nm utilising the diffuse mode. The reference integration time was set at 13.1 milliseconds per scan, with 100 scans per measurement. Approximately 20 measurements were taken for each tablet and capsule content (in a vial) and three for each powder sample. All measurements were conducted without packaging. Reference scans were performed using a Spectralon reference standard.
