Biography
With a strong foundation in mathematics and a passion for artificial intelligence, I am currently pursuing a PhD in AI with a focus on temporal knowledge graph reasoning. My research explores innovative approaches to understanding and modeling temporal dynamics in knowledge representation systems.
I hold a B.Sc. (Special) in Mathematics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, where I graduated with First Class Honours. I further advanced my expertise through a Postgraduate Diploma in Operational Research and an M.Sc. in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, which I completed with Distinction at Bournemouth University. This interdisciplinary training has provided me with comprehensive knowledge spanning pure mathematics, statistical modeling, and contemporary AI methodologies.
I spent five years in academia at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, teaching mathematics and mentoring students in analytical thinking and problem-solving. I subsequently worked as a Research Assistant in Data Science and AI at the University of Gloucestershire...
My research interests center on the convergence of mathematics, statistics, and machine learning. I am particularly enthusiastic about developing novel approaches to temporal reasoning in AI systems, combining rigorous mathematical frameworks with state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to address fundamental challenges in dynamic knowledge representation and reasoning.
