Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer at Bournemouth University with academic interests in Women’s Health and Feminist Bioethics. I am also a General Practitioner working locally in the NHS with an interest in women’s health.

I qualified from the University of Oxford in 2015 with a distinction in Medicine and Surgery, with the additional honour of being in the top decile of my cohort. During this degree I selected to undertake modules in medical anthropology and public health. I went onto undertake a Master of Public Health from the University of Edinburgh alongside my clinical training, completing this with distinction in 2020. I also completed the International Diploma of Lifestyle Medicine, with a particular interest in the relationship between nature and wellbeing.

I commenced my PhD at Bournemouth University in September 2023 – a feminist bioethical exploration of the impact of hormonal contraception on sexual pleasure.

I am also interested in championing women in academia, and am a Co-Chair of Bournemouth University Woman’s Academic Network...
