Biography

Dr Imran Boe Khan's research interests include bibliotherapy, digital storytelling, transnational communities on social media, influencer culture, racialization within cricket grounds, and political resistance through hip-hop and graffiti. His academic publications include 'Making Concrete Speak: Postcolonial Graffiti, European Secularism and Art Stars as Improvised Delegates' in the journal Interventions (2019). Imran’s poetry has been awarded the Thomas Hardy Award and has been nominated for the Best of the Net award and the Pushcart Prize. In July 2020, Imran was named poet of the month by Yes, Poetry. His creative work has appeared in publications such as Sixth Finch, Juked, The Rumpus, The Smart Set and The Bitter Oleander.
