Shelley's Heart: Locative Learning Tool

Authors: Gyori, B. and Rafter, S.

Publisher: Storyplace

By adopting approaches to sound design from traditional storytelling conventions, namely theatre and cinema and applying them to the non-linear, locative aware narrative project, "Shelly's Heart", I aim to explore and identify methodologies, workflows and aesthetic considerations for 360° audio / visual applications including VR, AR & MR. With a particular focus on the use of non-diegetic "space" in these emerging narrative platforms and the opportunity for sound to "reclaim" the non-diegetic space in these applications.
