Abstract:This article (in Greek) presents the key findings of a national study examining working conditions in Greece's tourism and hospitality sector. Drawing on survey data from hospitality employees, it argues that the industry's economic success masks persistent challenges relating to fair work, including low pay, excessive working hours, workâlife imbalance, limited employee voice, and inconsistent management practices. The article highlights the gap between formal compliance and employees' lived experiences, calling for greater investment in decent work as a prerequisite for improving workforce retention, service quality, and the long-term sustainability of Greek tourism.
