A simplified calculation method of wall plates of dry gas holders under gas pressure

In this paper, a set of basic equations for stiffened wall plates of dry gas holders are developed and the closed form solutions of simplified equations are derived according to the deformation behaviours of the plates under gas pressure. The analytical formulae for calculating the deformations, stresses and internal forces are obtained which give the results in good agreement with those obtained by finite element analysis of dry gas holders under gas pressure.
