Abstract:

As recently demonstrated on the BBC1 television programme Tomorrow's World, it is now feasible to employ the technique called fuzzy logic to develop, for small craft, an intelligent autopilot that has the ability to learn about its performance and make relevant tuning adjustments online to maintain optimal levels of operation.
