The ‘project’ of media literacy is under review.

By this we mean that its relationship to – and distinction from - literacy, new literacies, multi-literacies and media education as a community of practice has been the subject of little consensus.

Thus we consider the field of media literacy to bea work in progress and to that end, our desire isto move it forward, with particular attention to a‘tighter’ focus on the difference made to literacy by digital media and how this difference is experienced differently by learners.
