Abstract:The 13th annual UK Academy for Information Systems (UKAIS) 2008 Conference, organized by the by Bournemouth University Business School between the 10-11 April, 2008 focused on the academic application and practice of information systems. Dr Gelareh Roushan (Organizing Chair), along with Dr Laurence Brooks (UKAIS President), and Dr David Wainwright (UKAIS President Elect), as program co-chairpersons, organized the event and program. A total of 60 international delegates attended the conference. Some of the topics discussed at the event,include developing a revised definition, principles, and body of knowledge for IS and making the boundaries for IS research more clearly defined and understood. Many of these issues have been discussed in the conference keynote presentations also presented and published as continued research findings within the main paper streams.
