Abstract:

The workshop often uses a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) system to inspect parts' machining accuracy. The inspection data generated can be used to evaluate the quality of the parts, and it can also provide predictive maintenance suggestions for the machine tools that process the parts and reduce the maintenance cost through data analysis. However, the reports provided by CMM software are relatively fixed, it is not conducive to the quality management module of the MES system to carry out data analysis, resulting in insufficient utilization of the original data of the measurement, and limiting the functions of the quality management module. By taking the CMM raw measurement data acquisition and processing method as the object, a data interoperability method based on the middle layer was presented, and the middle layer's critical logic and the data processing flow were discussed. Using the DIRECT-DMIS software independently developed by the research team, the collection of these original inspection data was illustrated through a practical case, and the workshop to carry out equipment predictive maintenance management in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) was supported.
